I’ve played around with linocut prints in the past, but only a bit. So this past summer (2011) I took some time to do a series of them.
I scribbled some ideas in my sketchbook, penciled them on blocks and then drew them with india ink and brush. I cut the non-printing areas out of the blocks. (Leaving quite a pile of linoleum scraps on the floor.) Finally, I inked them and hand-printed about 10 of each.
